A Granulation Line is a synchronized assembly of machines used in pharmaceutical manufacturing to transform fine medicinal powders into uniform granules. This process is essential for improving flow properties and ensuring consistent tablet compression.
High Shear Mixer Granulator (HSMG): The heart of the line. It uses a high-speed impeller and chopper to mix powders with a binding solution, creating "wet" granules.
Fluid Bed Dryer (FBD): Uses hot air to suspend and dry the wet granules rapidly, ensuring moisture levels are perfect for the next stage.
Multi-Mill / Sifter: After drying, granules are passed through a mill to achieve a uniform particle size, removing any oversized lumps.
Blender (V-Blender or Octagonal): Final lubricants or extra ingredients are added and mixed thoroughly before the granules go to the tablet press
