Automatic Capsule Filling & Loader Machine
In pharmaceutical manufacturing, the Automatic Capsule Filling Machine is the high-speed workhorse used to encapsulate powders, granules, or pellets. To maximize efficiency, it is often paired with an Automatic Capsule Loader, which eliminates the slow manual task of feeding empty shells into the machine.
1. Automatic Capsule Loader (The Feeder)
The loader acts as the "supply chain" for the filling machine.
Function: It takes bulk empty capsules from a hopper and automatically aligns them so they are all facing the same direction (cap up, body down).
Speed: A high-end loader can orient and load 300 capsules in just 28–30 seconds, a task that takes 5 minutes by hand.
Integration: It can be used as a standalone unit to load trays for manual/semi-auto machines or integrated directly into a fully automatic line.
2. Automatic Capsule Filling Machine (The Processor)
Once loaded, the machine performs a synchronized 5-step cycle:
Separation: A vacuum system separates the cap from the body.
Dosing: A "tamping pin" system compresses powder into a "slug" and drops it into the capsule body with $\pm 2\%$ precision.
Rejection: Sensors identify and automatically eject any capsules that failed to open or fill.
Closing: The machine pushes the body back into the cap and locks them together.
Ejection: Finished capsules are discharged through a chute, often directly into a Capsule Polisher.
